Bering Straits Development Company (BSDC) owns commercial and residential rental properties in Nome including the 56 room Aurora Inn, Nome’s finest hotel. A wide variety of vehicles are also available for rent from Stampede Rentals which is also located in the Aurora Inn.

BSNC owns the surface and subsurface estate of land along the Nome Kougarok Road, surrounding Glacial Lake, and at other remote locations. Rental cabins are located at the Pilgrim River Bridge crossing along the Kougarok Road and they provide access to recreational activities such as fishing, kayaking and hiking. The mountains nearby offer superb spring time activities for adventurous recreationists interested in all forms of skiing from Nordic to Alpine and Alpine touring. While adventure tourism is just developing in the region, BSNC welcomes the opportunities these activities will bring and is currently seeking partners for ski and hiking operation in the nearby mountain ranges.
